Privacy
This page describes how MailHealthKit currently handles information. Last updated 30 September 2026.
Domains you check
When you run a check, the text you enter is sent to our server, which looks up public DNS records for that domain (for example its TXT records and _dmarc record). The result is returned to your browser. The MailHealthKit application does not store the domains you check or their results.
The DNS lookups are made through our hosting provider's DNS resolvers, which see the names being looked up.
Server logs
Like most websites, the infrastructure that hosts MailHealthKit may keep standard request logs, which can include your IP address and the requested address. Because checks are requested with the domain in the address, these logs can include the domain you checked.
Analytics and cookies
MailHealthKit can use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the checker is used, but only if you accept analytics cookies. Until you accept, the Google Analytics script isn't loaded and nothing is sent to Google. If you decline, it stays off.
If you accept:
- Google Analytics sets cookies (
_gaand_ga_…) to recognize returning browsers. - We send page views and a small set of events about using the checker: that a scan started, completed or failed, the general category of the result (for example “DMARC missing”), and whether an affiliate recommendation was shown or clicked.
- We never send the domains you check, DNS records, email addresses or other text you enter to analytics.
- Google receives standard technical information from your browser, such as your IP address, browser and device type. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) so we don't ask on every page. You can change it at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer; declining after accepting turns analytics off and removes the Google Analytics cookies.
Affiliate links
Some results include a link to DMARCTrust, which is an affiliate link (see the affiliate disclosure). The link includes a referral code that identifies MailHealthKit as the referrer. When you follow it you leave MailHealthKit, and DMARCTrust's own privacy policy applies on their site.
Accounts
MailHealthKit has no user accounts. If anything on this page changes, it will be updated.
